Tashlich at Needwood – 2012

Tashlich, meaning “casting away” is the annual gathering at a body of water to throw bread crumbs as a physical attempt to rid ourselves of sin. It is performed between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, which is the season of repentance and renewal.

We were led in a discussion on a Jewish Response to Climate Change by Joelle Novey, director of Interfaith Power and Light. Interfaith Power and Light is an organization that works with congregations to save energy, go green and respond to climate change.
